McCarter Entrance Scholarship

Open to an outstanding undergraduate student entering UBC Vancouver, with preference for Canadian citizens or permanent residents whose place of residency is in Canada east of Manitoba.

A $4,950 entrance scholarship. No separate student application is required; the scholarship is adjudicated by Enrolment Services under the Presidential Scholars Awards program.

Established through an endowment by W. Kenneth McCarter (BA 1976). His parents, Bill and Isobel McCarter, believed strongly in the value of undergraduate education away from one's home region, and the family wanted to encourage students from across Canada to study at UBC.
