About this scholarship
First Nations, Inuit, or Métis students of Canada entering an undergraduate program at UBC Okanagan from the Access Studies Program who have demonstrated commitment to leadership and service in their communities and recognized extracurricular achievement may be nominated for this award. Resilience, empathy, collaboration, and a commitment to grow as a leader may also be considered.
Renewable awards valued at $7,500 per year come from the McCall MacBain Foundation and may renew for up to three additional years with continued academic standing. Indigenous Programs and Services makes recommendations in consultation with Enrolment Services.
