Maxine Sevack Memorial Scholarship

Open to UBC Vancouver Creative Writing students who have completed at least one year of study and show promise in writing. Financial need may be considered.

The award is a $1,950 scholarship. The School of Creative Writing makes the recommendation. There is no separate application.

The Eve and Ben Sevack Foundation endowed this scholarship in memory of Maxine Sevack, a Creative Writing graduate who became a magazine journalist before her death in a plane crash in Guatemala at age 28.
