Max B Walters Cardiology Resident Award

For a UBC Vancouver cardiology resident who demonstrates excellence in the field, with good academic standing and strong overall personal qualities.

The award is $800, endowed by colleagues, friends, family, and patients in recognition of Max B. Walters's distinguished service to cardiology education in British Columbia. At the committee's discretion, the sum may be divided between two or more residents.

There is no separate application. The Department of Medicine, in consultation with the Cardiology Specialty Training Committee, recommends recipients.
