About this scholarship
Maryland foster care youth under age 25 who were placed in out-of-home care by the Maryland Department of Human Services may receive a tuition and mandatory-fees waiver at a Maryland public institution.
Eligible students must enroll as degree-seeking candidates for an associate, bachelor's, or vocational certificate before turning 25. The waiver covers full tuition and mandatory fees and is available for up to 10 years from first enrollment or until a bachelor's degree is earned.
File the FAFSA or Maryland State Financial Aid Application by March 1 each year and work with the Maryland Department of Human Resources to confirm eligibility. A list of eligible students is provided to Maryland public colleges and universities.
