About this scholarship
Out-of-state undergraduates enrolled in a nursing degree program at a Maryland public community college or four-year institution may apply for the Tuition Reduction for Non-Resident Nursing Students program through MHEC.
The award covers the difference between out-of-state and in-state tuition, so recipients pay the in-state rate. Amounts vary by program and credit hours. The reduction is renewable for one additional year at a two-year institution or up to three additional years at a four-year institution with satisfactory progress.
Apply online via the MDCAPS system and upload required documents. Recipients sign a service obligation to work as a nurse in Maryland for two years after completing a community college program or four years after completing a four-year institution program.
