About this scholarship
Maryland residents in graduate or professional programs in dentistry, law, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, social work, or veterinary medicine at eligible Maryland institutions may be considered for MHEC's Graduate and Professional Scholarship.
Awards are up to $5,000 per year (minimum $1,000) based on FAFSA need. Renewable for up to eight semesters with continued eligibility.
File the FAFSA and contact your institution's financial aid office to request consideration; deadlines vary by school.

- Be a Maryland resident
- Demonstrate financial need
- Enroll in an eligible graduate/professional program (dentistry, law, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, social work, or veterinary medicine) at an eligible Maryland institution
- Contact the financial aid office of the institution you will attend to request consideration.
- Renewal requires continued eligibility and is limited to up to eight semesters.
