About this scholarship
Full-time master's or doctoral students enrolled in a Faculty of Science graduate program at Dalhousie, in good academic standing, may be nominated for the Mary Margaret Werner Graduate Scholarship. Master's students are normally within 24 months in program; PhD students are normally within 60 months. The scholarship can be received only once per degree. Canadian and international students are eligible. At least one award is made at each degree level.
Value is based on annual endowment spending and is announced in the call for nominations.
Departments nominate students to the Faculty of Science Graduate Scholarships and Awards Committee. Nomination packages typically include a CV, personal statement on academic achievements, and a letter of support. The call usually occurs in the fall term.
