For outstanding domestic undergraduate students entering UBC Vancouver directly from secondary school or transferring from another post-secondary institution who demonstrate financial need.
Awards provide at least $10,000 per recipient from the Mary E. Gibbons Memorial endowment, funded by Richard P. Dick and Colleen A. Gibbons with UBC matching funds. Subject to continued academic standing, awards renew for up to three additional years or until the first undergraduate degree is completed.
Selection considers academic merit, leadership, community service, and extracurricular achievement. Preference goes to students from the Sea to Sky Region, then Nelson BC and surrounding areas, then Burnaby BC. Apply through the Centennial Scholars Entrance Award Committee recommendation process.
