Mary and Robert Wellwood Memorial Scholarship in Wood Science and Industry

Students entering third or fourth year in the UBC Faculty of Forestry may be nominated for scholarships from this memorial endowment.

Scholarships total $3,200, with no individual award less than $1,500. Preference goes to a leading student in the B.Sc. (Wood Products Processing) program who shows interest in world affairs; if no eligible student is available, the award goes to a leading student entering third or fourth year in Forestry.

Awards are made on Faculty recommendation. There is no separate student application.

The endowment honors Mary Virginia Wellwood, B.A. 1951, and Dr. R. W. Wellwood, Professor Emeritus of Forestry.
