About this scholarship
Open to a student who has submitted the best essay in the humanities on a topic relating to women. Excellence and originality are the chief criteria.
One prize of $60. Students or course directors may submit eligible essays written for courses in the previous fall/winter or summer session.
Established in memory of Marta Danylewycz, a scholar and teacher in history and women's studies who died in 1985 at the age of 38.
Essay question
What else to submit
- A clean copy of the essay including the student's name, student number, course number, instructor name, and term.
- A brief nomination or self-nomination note.
- Submit an essay already written for a humanities course in the previous fall/winter or summer session, on a topic relating to women (excellence and originality are the chief criteria)
- Students or course directors may submit/nominate eligible essays
- Provide a clean copy of the essay including student name, student number, course number, instructor name, and term
- Include a brief nomination or self-nomination note
