Marilyn Pomfret Memorial Award for Women in Athletics

Open to outstanding UBC Vancouver women varsity athletes in any year of study who demonstrate leadership.

Award amounts vary, from a minimum of $500 each up to athletic association maximums.

No separate student application. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Athletics Awards Committee.

Lynda Hamilton endowed the awards in memory of Marilyn Pomfret (1932-2019). Marilyn (B.P.E. 1954) served as UBC Women's Athletic Director and coached the women's volleyball team to three Western Canadian championships and two CIS titles, including UBC's first in women's volleyball.
