Open to registered nurses or nurse practitioners in Newfoundland and Labrador enrolled full-time or part-time in a Master of Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing program at a recognized university. Full-time recipients receive $2,000; part-time recipients receive $1,000. Applicants need a minimum 70% program average, good standing with the NL College of Nurses, Trust membership, and a completed graduate nursing application with supporting documents by October 15. Preference goes to General Hospital School of Nursing (St. John's) alumni and to applicants who have completed at least one year of the graduate program.
The award honours Marcella Linehan's nursing leadership in the province and was established through a donation from the estate of George Adams.
