Undergraduate or graduate students enrolled at an accredited Minnesota college or university, or Minnesota residents, who are pursuing brownfield redevelopment or a related field (engineering, earth or environmental sciences, government or public policy, law, business, real estate, public health, or economic development) may apply for the Mac Hyde Brownfield Scholarship Program. Applicants need at least a 3.0 GPA and an intended career in community revitalization, environmental quality, or remediation.
Two $2,000 awards are given. Recipients also receive honorary Minnesota Brownfields student membership while enrolled, free registration to one educational forum, and recognition at the ReScape Awards. Attendance at the April ReScape Awards event is encouraged.

The scholarship honors Maclay "Mac" Hyde (1934-2013), an environmental law attorney and brownfield redevelopment expert.
