Livingston County, Michigan high school seniors who have been accepted to Michigan State University and will enroll for at least 12 credits each semester may apply for the Livingston County Spartans Textbook Scholarship. Financial need is considered.
The award is $1,000, provided as a gift card at the MSU Student Book Store for textbooks, reading material, course packets, and other required course resources. The number of recipients varies each year. Awards are presented in August at the Club's Freshmen Scholarship Picnic.
Submit two reference forms (from a school administrator, counselor, teacher, coach, employer, religious leader, volunteer supervisor, or other professional), a copy of the MSU acceptance letter, and a transcript.
The Livingston County Spartans created the award to help with the rising cost of college materials for local students heading to MSU.
