About this scholarship

All U.S. high school students may submit one original unpublished poem of 20 lines or fewer every 90 days to the Live Poets Society of New Jersey National High School Poetry Contest.

Scholarships of up to $500 are awarded quarterly, including $500 for Poet of the Year and Best of Issue and $100 for Editor's Choice. Hundreds of topical winners receive publication only.

Email or mail your poem with your name, address, school, graduation year, and English teacher's name to info@highschoolpoetrycontest.com. Poems must be written in English and previously unpublished.
