About this scholarship

Open to First Nations, Inuit, or Métis undergraduate students entering UBC Vancouver directly from secondary school or transferring from another post-secondary institution in Canada.

The award provides a $10,000 renewable entrance scholarship for academically qualified domestic students, with preference for those who would not be able to attend UBC without financial assistance. Subject to continued academic standing, it renews for up to three additional years or until the first undergraduate degree is completed, whichever comes first.

Selection considers academic merit along with leadership, community service, and extracurricular achievement. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Centennial Scholars Entrance Award Committee. Apply through the UBC Entrance Award application.

Funded through an endowment established by Lindsay and Elizabeth Gordon, with matching funds from the University of British Columbia.
