About this scholarship

New resident undergraduate students at Liberty University who are U.S. citizens or federally eligible non-citizens, enroll full-time in a degree-seeking program, and have a verified FAFSA Student Aid Index (SAI) between 1 and 18,000 may receive the Middle America Scholarship.

Combined with the Liberty Champion scholarship, the award is designed to bring recipients up to the equivalent of the full Federal Pell Grant amount each year (structured amount up to $6,395). Working families who earn too much for large federal grants are the intended audience.
