International students (non-Canadian, requiring a study permit) in their final year of secondary school in 2026/2027, or who graduated no earlier than June 2026, may be nominated by their high school for undergraduate study at the University of Toronto beginning September 2027. Students already attending post-secondary studies are not eligible.
The scholarship covers tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support for four years for first-entry undergraduate programs. Approximately 37 scholars are named each year. High schools nominate one student; nominees must also apply to U of T and complete the Pearson scholarship application. The program recognizes exceptional academic achievement, creativity, and leadership, with emphasis on impact on school and community life.
