About this scholarship

The Leontyne Price Scholarship Fund was founded by Metropolitan Opera star Leontyne Price to support Rust College music students. Interest from the endowment provides two scholarships of $500 each year to students majoring in music who demonstrate financial need, scholarship, personality, character, and leadership in religious and social activities. Awards are presented at Honors and Awards Day in April. Full-time undergraduates pursuing music at the Holly Springs HBCU are selected by the college from eligible applicants.
