About this scholarship
The Leland and Kathleen Hansen Geography Research Endowed Fund supports Macalester College undergraduates conducting summer research in urban geography, with preference for current geography majors. Projects run four to ten weeks during the summer between commencement and orientation, and recipients submit a brief written report and participate in the Summer Showcase. Applications are submitted to the Geography Department chair via the Hansen Fund Application Form. The deadline is 11:59 a.m. Central Time on February 2 for funding in the following summer. Funding is awarded annually from the endowment established by the Hansen family in 2013.
