Open to the student standing highest in general proficiency and research ability in Chemical Engineering at UBC Vancouver, based on work from the final two years of the course.
A medal and prize of $300 are awarded from funds endowed by the late Mrs. Lefevre in memory of her husband, Dr. J. M. Lefevre.
Recipients are selected on faculty recommendation. There is no separate application.
