About this scholarship
Annual seven-hundred-fifty-dollar scholarship honoring former School of Design head Lee Goldman for senior design students in each track who challenge conventions through original investigation pushing cultural, social, or ecological boundaries. Faculty nominate seniors based on deep topic investigation and bold outcomes; anonymous faculty voting selects one winner per Communications, Products, and Environments track. Awards are announced at the spring Design Week ceremony. No separate student application is required beyond faculty nomination of eligible full-time Carnegie Mellon design seniors.
