About this scholarship

Returning members of the UBC Vancouver Thunderbird Golf Team in good academic standing who have shown excellent leadership may be considered for this award. Preference goes to a member of the women's team.

The award is $2,000, offered annually by Lawrence Burr (B.A. 1958, M.Sc. 1961, M.D. 1964). Selection is made on the recommendation of the Athletics Awards Committee; there is no separate application.

Dr. Burr played golf on his high school team and has continued to enjoy the game for decades.
