Lawrence and Maggie Burr Award

M.D. students at the University of British Columbia's Vancouver campus who have completed at least one year of the medical undergraduate program and demonstrate a strong commitment to the classical performing arts are eligible for this award. One award of $2,250 is offered. There is no student application; the recipient is chosen on the recommendation of the Faculty of Medicine.

The award was endowed by Dr. Lawrence Burr (M.D. 1964) and Maggie Burr (B.Mus. 1964), longtime performers of solo and choral music who wanted to support students whose interests span both medicine and music.
