About this scholarship

Graduate students at UBC Okanagan conducting research on memory or memory-related issues may be nominated by their faculty. Open to incoming and continuing master's and PhD students who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or international students; the research focus is memory in the neurological sense.

One award of up to $10,000 is granted. Each faculty may nominate up to two candidates, and nominations include a one-page student letter, a CV, a supervisor's letter of support, and transcripts. The College of Graduate Studies Scholarship and Awards Committee selects the recipient in consultation with the Office of Research Services.

The award is funded by an endowment established by the Estate of Lashley and Mary Haggman.
