About this scholarship

Open to a UBC Vancouver undergraduate who completes a South Asian studies major with excellence, or to a promising graduate student in South Asian studies.

The award is an $800 prize endowed to promote excellence in South Asian studies. No separate application; recipients are chosen on the recommendation of the Head of the Department of Asian Studies. The prize may be withheld if no suitable candidate is available.
