About this scholarship
The Kick Forward Student Scholarship is a City Colleges of Chicago Foundation award providing $1,000 per semester to support students who have been involved in school-based counseling programs and community service. Applicants complete the foundation general application on AcademicWorks and answer supplemental questions describing their involvement in school-based counseling or similar services and their community service activities and community impact. The application deadline is August 10, 2026. Most foundation scholarships require students to live in Chicago and to complete a financial aid application such as the FAFSA or RISE Act alternative. Undocumented students are eligible to apply.
