About this scholarship
Japanese American high school seniors or community college transfer students who are at least 50% Japanese ancestry, U.S. citizens, Federal Pell Grant recipients, and hold a minimum 3.5 GPA may apply for Kawamoto Family scholarships.
Two $5,000 first-year awards are given annually. Qualifying recipients may receive an optional $3,000 renewal in year two with continued Pell eligibility and a 3.0 college GPA.
Submit the application with FAFSA Submission Summary, transcripts, and materials demonstrating academic achievement and leadership by April 30.
