About this scholarship
The Katherine Peterson Alumni Association Scholarship provides one thousand dollars to San José State University undergraduate or graduate students selected for academic achievement, financial need, and demonstrated community service. Endowed by the Keith and Katherine Peterson Charitable Remainder Trust, the award honors Katherine Peterson, an SJSU education graduate who taught in Sunnyvale and founded a local history docent program. Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and qualify for need-based financial aid. The scholarship is not renewable. Apply through the Spartan Scholarship system on the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office website by the annual May 1 deadline.
