Katherine Brearley Entrance Scholarship in Arts

Open to students of academic distinction entering the UBC Vancouver Faculty of Arts directly from secondary school.

Scholarships totalling $13,000 have been endowed in memory of Associate Professor Emerita Katherine Brearley. The per-recipient amount varies. Recipients are selected on academic achievement, character, and leadership demonstrated through community contributions. Preference is given to students who attended secondary school in Surrey or White Rock, British Columbia, or in Calgary, Alberta. Awards are adjudicated by Enrolment Services under the Presidential Scholars Awards program.
