Joy Coghill Award in Theatre

Promising students entering the Bachelor of Fine Arts Program in Acting at UBC Vancouver, in the Department of Theatre and Film, are eligible for this award.

The award is $1,850, endowed by family, friends, and colleagues to honour Canadian theatre pioneer and UBC alumna Joy Coghill (B.A. 1947, Hon. LL.D. 1995). She was Artistic Director of the Vancouver Playhouse and founder of Holiday Theatre, and her dedication to theatre inspired generations of artists and audiences.

The Theatre Program recommends recipients. No separate application is required.
