About this scholarship

Open to outstanding members of the UBC Vancouver men's varsity ice hockey team in any year of study.

One or more awards are offered, each worth at least $500 and up to the maximum allowed under athletic association rules. Recipients are chosen on the recommendation of the men's ice hockey coaches and the Athletic Awards Committee. There is no separate application.

The endowment honors Joshua Cinnamon (B.A. 2001), who joined the Thunderbirds in 1998 and balanced athletics and academics with decency and respect for others.
