About this scholarship
The John Newton Templeton Scholars Program awards a four-year renewable scholarship covering in-state tuition, mandatory fees, room, and board to incoming first-year Athens campus students committed to community advocacy, inclusive relationships, and perseverance. After applying for admission by the November 15 early action deadline, eligible students complete the OHIO Honors and Scholars supplemental application and interview if selected. Scholars maintain a 3.0 GPA, enroll in 15 credit hours each semester earning 30 hours annually, complete a community impact project each semester, and participate in cohort mentoring, coaching, and Honors Program programming.
