About this scholarship
For a Mining Engineering student at UBC Vancouver who shows outstanding leadership skills. Graduate students may also be considered, in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
A $1,000 award offered annually. It is made on the recommendation of the Department of Mining Engineering; no separate application is required.
The award is named in memory of Professor John Meech, a faculty member in the Department of Mining Engineering for 26 years.
