John M Yorston Memorial Prize

For an outstanding UBC Vancouver undergraduate specializing in plant pathology, plant nematology, or plant protection, or an outstanding graduate student in plant pathology or plant nematology.

The prize is $600, endowed in memory of Dr. Yorston (B.Sc. Agr. 1965), whose career with the B.C. Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries was cut short by an automobile accident. It is awarded on the recommendation of the Faculty of Land and Food Systems or in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
