About this scholarship
Travel and research award for fourth- and fifth-year Carnegie Mellon Bachelor of Architecture students to pursue international study under faculty guidance. Applicants submit a two-hundred-word travel proposal, one-page budget, one-page schedule, and prospective faculty advisor names as a single PDF. Fall twenty twenty-five funding includes one four-thousand-dollar award and up to three three-thousand-dollar awards at jury discretion. Winners must receive faculty approval of their full proposal before funds disburse. The award honors architect and former CMU architecture department head John Knox Shear.
