About this scholarship
A UBC Vancouver graduate student with an interest in dairy cattle research may be considered.
A $3,900 scholarship, endowed in honour of John and Mary Young, is awarded.
The scholarship is made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Land and Food Systems in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. There is no separate student application.
John managed the UBC Farm and Dairy from 1929 to 1951, and together John and Mary helped the farm and its famous Ayrshire herd survive the Great Depression.
