Joel Bert Memorial Scholarship

Undergraduate students in the final year of Chemical and Biological Engineering at UBC Vancouver are eligible for this $2,200 scholarship, with preference given to those with an interest in applying engineering principles to human health concerns.

There is no separate application. The award is made on the recommendation of the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering.

The scholarship was endowed by family and friends in memory of Dr. Joel Bert, a UBC faculty member for over twenty years in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering.
