Jody Rud Memorial Award in Social Work

Full-time students in any Master of Social Work program in the School of Social Work at UBC Okanagan may be considered for this memorial award. Preference goes to students focused on substance use disorder or homelessness. Selection also considers academic achievement, volunteerism, community involvement, or campus leadership.

The award is valued at $1,800 and is made on the recommendation of the School, with MSW students notified by the program annually in early April.

The award was endowed by family and friends of Jody Rud, remembered for his compassionate nature and dedication to making a difference in the lives of others.
