Joan Ryan Award

For a graduating Indigenous Teacher Education Program (NITEP) student at UBC Vancouver with good academic standing who has exemplified volunteerism, persistence, and perseverance in completing the Bachelor of Education degree while demonstrating commitment to First Nations education and participating in university and community activities.

The award is a $1,150 award endowed by friends and colleagues in recognition of Joan Ryan, one of the founders of NITEP. It is made on Faculty of Education recommendation in consultation with the Indigenous Teacher Education Program Committee.

There is no separate application.
