Third-year M.D. students in UBC's Southern Medical Program who travel for clerkship from their home site of Kelowna are eligible for this award. Two awards of $5,000 each are made available annually through a gift from the Rogers Family Charitable Trust. Preference is given to students with financial need and an interest in family medicine or in practicing family medicine in the Interior Region of BC.
There is no separate application. The awards are made on the recommendation of the Southern Medical Program.
