Jerry Sauder Memorial Award in Women's Soccer

Open to members of the UBC Vancouver Thunderbirds women's soccer team in any year of study who demonstrate an exceptional work ethic, outstanding performance, and commitment to their team.

Two awards of $3,000 each are offered annually.

No separate student application. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Athletics Awards Committee.

The gift from the Doug and Trudy Peden Foundation honors Jerry Sauder (1948-2021), a previous Foundation President active in BC community affairs. Passionate about supporting female athletes, the Foundation was established in honour of Doug, an exceptional Canadian athlete and sports editor, and his wife Trudy.
