About this scholarship
The Jeffrey M. and Elizabeth S. Smith Scholarship provides financial support to a Virginia resident enrolled in the JMU Honors College. Scholarships renew for up to three years beyond the first year while the student remains in the Honors College and maintains a 3.0 GPA. All eligible incoming students who apply Early Action to James Madison University and the Honors College are automatically considered; no additional application materials are required beyond the admission and Honors application. The award is administered through the Honors College scholarship selection process alongside other incoming-student Honors endowments.
