About this scholarship
The Janet Wood McGregor Scholarship was established in 2008 by alumna Janet Wood McGregor, who earned her associate degree in 1979 and bachelor's degree in 1981 from the Long Island Center of Empire State College. The award supports SUNY Empire State University undergraduate and graduate students who meet Foundation eligibility requirements and are matched through the ESCFAST General Application. Applicants must be matriculated, have completed at least eight credits at Empire, demonstrate successful academic progress including completion of at least 80 percent of enrolled coursework, and complete the FAFSA when financial need is a criterion.
