James Russell Mills Memorial Award

A student entering the penultimate or final year in the UBC Faculty of Forestry may receive this memorial award.

The award is $350, established through donations by colleagues and friends of the late Russell Mills. It goes to a student who combines Mills' admirable qualities and demonstrates similar dedication to the Forestry Undergraduate Society and its members.

The award is made on Faculty recommendation in consultation with the Forestry Undergraduate Society. There is no separate student application.

Russell Mills dedicated his life to forest engineering principles in logging and later lectured in Industrial Management and Logging at UBC from 1964 to 1969.
