James Ruggles Macdonell Memorial Scholarship

Open to a UBC Vancouver philosophy student entering the final undergraduate year, preferably in the Honours program. If no suitable Honours candidate is available, the award goes to a student in the Majors program. Financial need is considered.

The $1,500 scholarship is recommended by the Department of Philosophy. No separate application is required.

The award is a memorial to James Ruggles Macdonell, an honours philosophy graduate in the Class of 1966 who died accidentally in his graduating year.
