About this scholarship

Student photojournalists at the high school, undergraduate, college/technical, or graduate level who are U.S. citizens with at least one semester remaining may apply. Six total awards: five $2,500 scholarships for college or technical students (four video, one still photography), one $2,500 for a graduate video student, and five digital SLR cameras for high school still-photography winners.

Submit essay (250 words max), two references, transcripts, financial data, and either five still images or two videos (college applicants). Focus must be photojournalism, not art photography.

Established to memorialize Arizona photojournalist James "Jim" Alan Cox, who passed away in 2007.
