Jake Zilber Scholarship

Open to UBC Vancouver Creative Writing B.F.A. or M.F.A. students who have completed at least one year of study and show exceptional promise as a writer for screen and television.

The award is a $1,450 scholarship. The School of Creative Writing makes the recommendation. There is no separate application.

The Smith Family Foundation endowed this scholarship to honour Jacob Zilber on his retirement from Creative Writing in 1989, acknowledging his role in developing scriptwriters at UBC and in British Columbia.
