Jake Turnbull Memorial Prize

Mining and Mineral Process Engineering students at UBC Vancouver may be nominated for this prize for the best graduating thesis or report submitted for MMPE 493.

A $250 prize endowed by friends and associates of John M. Turnbull (Jake Turnbull) is awarded on department recommendation.

Jake Turnbull was a founding UBC faculty member and headed the Department of Mining Engineering for 30 years. He was also a pioneer of engineering in British Columbia. There is no separate application.
